We invite you to celebrate the cultural and artistic heritage of Woodville and Wilkinson County, Mississippi!
The Woodville Deer & Wildlife Festival is an annual downtown event which brings thousands of local and out-of-towners to our historic community. The arts are celebrated-music, craft, photography, taxidermy, and culinary. The Wild Game Cook Off Competition highlights our traditions of cooking locally harvested venison, duck, wild turkey, fish, crawfish, alligator, squirrel, rabbit, and feral hog.
Local artisans demonstrate wooden bowl and spoon carving, pine needle basket-making, quilting, forging, pottery, photography, duck and turkey calls carving, and taxidermy. Area musicians infuse the Festival air with blues, rock, gospel, R&B, and country music.
Photographs depicting one hundred years of hunting along with dozens of Magnolia Records trophy deer mounts are displayed in one of our Museums on the square. We invite you to share the rich cultural and artistic heritage of our community!
